Day 7 took on a ride from Wendover, NV to Salt Lake City, Utah.

Notes from the road:

Hello everyone, first off thank you all for the emails. It is so motivating to check my email and see all my friends and family giving their support.

Ryan and I rode 125 miles today from Wendover, NV to Salt Lake City, Utah. This week we have rode over 800 miles. Tomorrow we are heading a bit south and heading towards Colorado. There my friend Nikki is flying in from Oregon to meet Ryan and I. She is going to meet us in Colorado and take our bags from us as we head through the Rockies.

We are on track and doing well. Yesterday was a bit hectic. We decided to sleep in because we had a flat 107 miles to do that day. We got out of town at about 10:00. We rode through rain and temperatures of high 30's to low 40's. We got to Wells at about 2:00. We were freezing!!! We then found out that we had a 7000 foot pass we still had to climb. So much for an easy day. Right before we got to the pass my tire was sliced by a rock. So I had to change the tire and tube. When we got done with this a rain storm was chasing us so he had to basically sprint up this mountain. When we rode down the other side, Ryan ran over a small piece of metal and it slashed his back tire. Within a matter of 4 miles we had both gone through our spare tires. The quote of the day was "we picked a hell of a day to sleep in". Yesterday we ended up riding in at 8:30 at night. Hopefully this is the worst of it...but I doubt it. I'll update you again when we get Internet.

I hope this finds everyone doing well. Thank you again for the emails and phone calls.
